The Flipnut Innovations General Education Scholarship is available
to students who are planning to attend a college, university or
technical school.
Illustrators of the Future Contest
Award Amount
Description
The Illustrators of the Future Contest is open to artists from all
nations. One entry is considered three black and white works
illustrating a science fiction or fantasy story with no recurring
theme. Your entry may not have been previously published. There are
four quarterly deadlines each year (September 30, December 31, March
31 and June 30). You may send an entry at anytime, however you can
only have one entry per quarter, your entry will be entered in the
current quarter. Send photocopies only. Individual artists retain
copyrights. Three prizes per quarter of $500 each and a yearly grand
prize of $4000 are offered.
Chick-Fil-A Leadership Scholarship Deadline Date: Varies Award Amount: At least $1000
Description: The Chick-Fil-A Leadership
Scholarship is available to Chick-Fil-A team members who are or intend
to be high school graduates and enroll in an accredited college or
university. You must be active in your school and community, demonstrate
a strong work ethic, leadership abilities, good teamwork, and a desire
to succeed to qualify for this award.
Elder & Leemaur Publishers University Writing Scholarship Award Amount: Maximum: $10000 Description: The Elder & Leemaur Publishers University Writing Scholarship is available to university students. You must submit an essay no longer than 500 words on one of the topics listed on the sponsor's Web site to be eligible for this award.
Gloria and Joseph Mattera National Scholarship for Migrant Children Deadline Date: Varies Award Amount: $150-$500
Description: The Gloria and Joseph Mattera
National Scholarship for Migrant Children is available to migrant
farmworker youth who have the potential and desire to further their
education to achieve their personal and career goals. You must have a
recent history of movement for agricultural employment, with priority
given to interstate migrant youth, and demonstrate financial need and
scholastic potential to be considered for this award. You must also be
enrolled or accepted at an accredited public or private college,
technical or vocational schools, or a dropout or potential dropout from
high school who shows promise of ability to continue schooling. A
recommendation and an essay are also required. Description: The Caroline H. Newhouse Scholarship is available to professional dancers who wish to pursue educational and retraining opportunities, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees, as well as skill and vocational certification. You must be at least 27 years old, although consideration will be given to applicants who have suffered a career ending injury or illness. To be eligible for this award, you must provide documentation of 100 weeks or more of paid dance employment in the U.S. over a period of seven years or more.
